Privacy Policy
For Cloq · Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cloq (“the app”, “we”, “us”),
provided by Markas Ivanovas, collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the app
you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The short version
- The app works without an account. Your data stays on your device unless you turn on cloud sync.
- If you enable sync, your data is stored in your own private, access-controlled account in our backend (Supabase).
- We use privacy-respecting analytics (Amplitude) and crash reporting (Sentry) to improve the app.
- Subscriptions are processed by Apple and RevenueCat — we never see your card details.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app at any time.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account credentials — if you choose to enable cross-device sync, you provide an
email address and password. These are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- App content you create — timers, companies, work sessions, logged hours,
payments, goals, focus sessions, notes, and app settings.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- A randomly generated account identifier. On first launch the app creates an
anonymous identifier so your data can sync and so subscriptions work — it is not tied to your
real identity unless you add an email.
- Usage and product-interaction data (via Amplitude) — events such as screens
viewed, features used, onboarding steps, and subscription interactions, along with basic device
and app-version information. Used to understand and improve the app.
- Diagnostics & crash data (via Sentry) — error reports, stack traces, and
device/OS information when the app crashes or errors, so we can fix problems.
- Subscription & purchase data (via Apple and RevenueCat) — your subscription
status and transaction identifiers. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store
your payment card information.
The app does not collect your precise location or background sensor data in the
shipping version, and it does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the core features — tracking time and earnings, goals, focus sessions, and reports.
- To sync your data across your devices and restore it after reinstalling (only if you enable sync).
- To process and restore subscriptions and unlock premium features.
- To analyze usage in aggregate and improve the product (analytics).
- To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and bugs (diagnostics).
4. Third-party services
We share the limited data described above with these processors, each under their own privacy policy:
We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
5. Data storage, security & international transfers
Your synced data is stored in your own row-level-security-protected account, so only you (when
authenticated) can access it. Your login session is stored encrypted on your device. Our service
providers process data in the United States and the European Union; by using the app you consent
to such transfers.
6. Data retention
We keep your synced data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (see below)
or uninstall the app, your local data is removed from the device, and deleting your account removes
your data from our backend. Analytics and crash data are retained for a limited period by the
respective providers.
7. Your rights & choices
- Delete your account and data — in the app go to
Settings → Sync & account → Delete account.
This permanently deletes your account and all synced data.
- Use the app without sync — simply don't add an email; your data stays on the device.
- Access / correction — you can view and edit all of your data within the app, or contact us.
- Depending on your region (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have additional
rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. Contact us to exercise them.
8. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we
do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data,
contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and,
where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
